80s song English male voice

Hello, I apologize in advance if this request has already been posted. I used the site's search engine, and several search websites to see if it could be a duplicate but I didn't find anything.

So I'm part of a community trying to identify a song from the 17-second extract below.

We've been looking for its title and performer for over 3 years now, and we don't know anything concrete except that it was released between the 80s and the 90s. We're currently looking at songs and artists from the 80s. The extract is very short, so it's difficult for us to pinpoint its potential genre. We check everything, from funk to italo-disco... (considering how vague the genre could be, I wonder if the Sounds of 80s forum section would have been more suitable for my topic, please let me know)

If I'm not mistaken, the snippet was posted by an average guy from Spain on a music/song identification site. He said he'd found it in a DVD backup, among other files, and that unfortunately he couldn't remember its origin...

Since this mystery is dragging on, I decided to post a topic here asking if you had any leads or suggestions to help us in this search?

Moved it to the 80s section, indeed more chance there, you tried Discogs ID forum as well?

Sounds deffo 80s, that bassline and that drumcomputer, sounds like a LinnDrum LM2 / Oberheim DMX / Sequencial Circuits Drumtraks handclap & snare, so that would place it earliest 1980 ...

And you're right, the consensus is that this track must have been made no earlier than 1983, judging by the instruments used.

Thanks for your answer, unfortunately this is a recreation based on the snippet. Some even go so far as to copyright the sound, to the point of making research more difficult than it already is! This is the kind of result that will appear in ID apps such as Shazam and Soundhound.
