    Default ID: Ah yeah, E yeah?

    Hi,

    [SOLVED: Visa - Let Me See Ya Move - thanks IAN R]

    //

    This popped into my head today...

    Early 90s..Female vocal sample (I think it starts with it, without backing), where she’s repeating “Ah yeah, E yeah”
    (more like Aaaaah y-eah.... eeeeeh y-eah”)

    Could be “ohhh” not “aaah” I guess.

    Looking forward to hearing suggestions!

    Thanks
    J.

    (For the search keywords next time I forget it .... aah yeah, eeh yeah, aaah yeah, eeeh yeah, hey yeah )

    female 'oh yeah', 'ah yeah' and similar are littered across the sub-genres.

    can i ask why you posted in hardcore?
    where did you hear it?
    live event? radio?
    what dj?
    rough year?

    the more info you can give the better it'll be to eliminate what it's not - it'll then have a more focused group to get it nailed for you.

    otherwise, you're asking for a needle in a haystack.

    that said, needles are often found here.

    look forward to your reply.

    * can i ask why you posted in hardcore?
    Pretty sure it’s an school rave tune. From memory didn’t really fit on the other forums. Can’t say if it’s breakbeat or 4/4 tho

    * where did you hear it?
    I may have actually owned the vinyl at one point. I remember running off a sample of it so it was either from tape or vinyl. Pre modern internet really.

    rough year?
    * likely 1991-1993

    I realize it’s a long shot... but if you know it you know it...

    If it helps, the “aah” and “eee” parts would be on beat 1 drawn out over 2 beats into the “yeah” starting on beat 3 and ending at the start of beat 4.

    Bar 1...Bar 2...Bar 3...Bar 4...
    O o o o O o o o O o o o O o o o
    Ahhhyeh Eeeeyeh Aaahyeh Eeeeyeh

    Thanks

    Thanks nebkins, that’ll make finding it a little easier

    Hi Kammie,

    thanks for all those. However, nebkins identified a track with the specific sample (see above: "Anti Visa - Ahh Yeah"), I'm just wondering where Stu Allen got it from.. as I'm sure I've heard it into a different tune to that one

    I shall listen to yours anyway cheers! (maybe one of them has it anyway)

    thanks
