    Default Euro House

Hello, a friend of mine is looking for this track , presumably from the early to mid 90s. Sounded very familiar to me but i didn't know it either.
In the style of Sunscreem - Exodus etc.

    Please have a listen:

Hi, it's possibly a version of Spirits - Spirit Inside
    https://www.discogs.com/Spirits-Spir...e/master/94492
I've had a listen to a few of the mixes but nothing apart from the lyrics/vocals match up.
Could be one of the mixes ??? Possibly the Marshall Jefferson mix ... can't find it online to listen to, to confirm.
Good luck! Hopefully you'll be able to find it from this.

Hey thanks for trying. My buddy acquired the record or CD and he said it's the CJ's Club Mix.

This is the CJ's Club Mix: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hotDdsOF4zI
And sorry to say, it's not your tune either.
I still can't find that Marshall Jefferson mix but I'm beginning to think it could actually be another tune that merely used the vocals from Spirit Inside. hmm???

Your clip is 6:43 in length so the tune we're looking for is roughly that length, possibly slightly longer.
The "Original Serious Rope Mix" comes close in length but it isn't the right mix.
The "Marshall Jefferson Mix" is at 7:59 while all the other mixes are much longer, so it could still be that one.. maybe? :\

I've searched WhoSampled but nothing comes up.

    Edit:
Could also be a Hot Tracks remix: https://www.discogs.com/Various-Hot-.../master/199917

Can your friend tell you where he got the audio from? Was it from a radio show or a mix tape?

It's definitely not CJ's Club Mix.

It is a sped-up version of the Big Bump Mix ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z7d7BE6Rerc ), starting at around 1.25 and ending around 8.30.

    Cheers,
    Matthew

Yes you're right! Defo the Big Bump Mix upon a second closer comparison. Doh! It sounds quite different sped up. Interesting. I wonder if the dj that spun this kept the key the same or used some other trick.
The vocals don't sound sped up, just a different key.
The tune just sounds so much more vibrant and energetic.
