I'm still trying to get to the bottom of this Sasha didgeridoo id..
I thought I'd finally found it over on oldskoolanthemz but alas it was a bum steer.
I'm positive that it isn't 2 copies of Owls in the outback as the clean didgeridoo section is only super short and he'd have to play it about 4 times to get it anywhere near as long as the bit that features in his classic Shelleys set.
Also, if you listen carefully - and I have - obsessively! then there are noises and elements that just dont appear in the Owls remix.
It is possible that its crowd noises and stuff, but the length issue still stands true.
It's the same sample that he used in Donna Gardier I reckon, and obviously the such a good feeling remix too, so Im sure that there's got to be source sample out there..
Any takers??

Back again!
ok, in the quest for the didgeridoo id, I've been chasing every route of questioning available..
I got in touch with Dave Seamen and Steve Anderson to ask if they could remember what the source was that they used on the owls in the outback mix (as this came before donna gardier and the creative thieves remix) and I got two bits of information..
There is indeed a source record (which they cant remember..) but it had 7 or so minutes of digipella action which they used in their remixes and its likely to be the mystery seque that we're hunting for.
The second thing is that the panpipes and other noises were played in by them into the remix, so dont appear on the source sample, so although it wasnt purely the owls remix sasha was playing, it is likely that he used the digipella with the owls remix over the top then back into the digipella then into nasty rhythm...
so... a step closer or a step further away..
Digipella anyone?
you have indeed been buzy sherlock holmes
