Hi Mate! I've got a copy of the remixes of Prince - The Most Beautiful Girl in the World from 1994 with the same tracklisting as the one you mentioned from Gemm, but the Remixers names are listed as Mr Marvin & Hornbostel. Could these be the same mixes?? These versions have conga style percussion (sort of Tribally) with a basic two stab bassline, leading to organ riffs later in the track. Does this sound like the mixes from the tape? I'm just interested to know if there are other mixes avaiable. Cheers Ed.
nah mate this is a booty proper stylee not prince singing either, its tenaglia dodgy rip, brady mate ,ill check later for you mate its at my mums i listened to it over the fone, i live a fair bit from her nowadays!!
ed , heres a clip of the track/version thats played on the sasha mix phones:

Hello again fellas! The 12" I've got has a Black label with Gold Print (But quite faint) on the A side it says Controversy music and the cat no. WAY 1010 (Although when I recently tried to add this to Discogs I was told that this was not a label, but the name of Prince's Publishing company!) Under this is RMX, then below 'THE MOST BEAUTIFUL GIRL IN THE WORLD (Prince 8.00').WAY 1010 is etched into the runout. On the B side the B1 track is listed the same as A1 but track length is (5'10). B2 is listed as THE MOST GROOVE IN THE WORLD, and the remix is credited to Marvin & Hornbostel track length 7'40. Also from the clip I would say that it is being played at nearly +8. I will try and get my mate to sort an mp3 from a CD, as I'm not that clued up with ripping (Although I suppose I should get it sorted!). Hiope this info helps tho. Cheers Ed
cool ed, i was convinced it was prince singing, but i suppose if its at +8 then it will sound like somebody else doing the vocals
