4 hero - in the shadow (sunrise mix).

Can't believe this tune got played NYE 92/93. The track is taken from the journey from the light remixes ep, which up until now I always thought was produced March / April 93

Remember though that the original Journey From The Light was being played in August 1992 by a few select DJ's. Proper Dubplate business

Thanks retrospect, Discogs says released in Feb 1993, although some Discography's on there are a bit shady:hubba: but it was not uncommon for dj's to play tunes way before release dates, that's if the tunes ever made it to the final pressing stage, i'm being obvious now aren't i:D
As it is now and was then, a case of who you know etc, there is a Kenny Ken interview on line in which he explains how hard it was trying to get tunes back in the day, quite interesting.

Can you remember which sets from Aug & sept 92 have the original journey from the light tracks?

After checking its Fabio who plays 4 Hero - The Element (High Noon) [Reinforced] on 14th August 1992

He was also playing 4 Hero - Journey From The Light - Reinforced on 14th November 1992

Some other DJ's (Randall, Grooverider, JJ Frost) were playing Journey From The Light and The Element from about 12th December 1992.

Grooverider's dubplate of Journey From The Light had Internal Affairs - Stylin on the other side so he must have cut that in October 1992.
