I think it might be chris simmonds on cross section records however the only release around that time doesnt match.

I too was looking for this track for about 10 years. I bought alot of tracks on the Cross section label hoping to find it. I finally managed to ID it from the label mix CD as 'THE DIGGERS - YESTERDAY WAS COOL'. Ed

The EP is Called 'Yesterday Was Cool' the track played by Ralph Lawson is 'Wildlife' as mentioned above. There are copies on vinyl on Discogs for about a quid. Ed

They seem to think the track is the 'Yesterday Is Cool' one on youtube, but maybe they have put that as it is the name of the EP. It's definitely the record you want in the Discogs link I posted anyway. Ed
