Greetings,
In all the Sasha tracklistings for the set Live @ Renaissance, Mansfield, UK 8-1-92 there is an entry for 'Flowered Up - Weekender (Roy Da Roach Mix)' - was this unreleased or is it a mistake and is actually meant to be one of the mixes on Flowered Up - Weatherall's Weekender (Vinyl) at Discogs (http://www.discogs.com/Flowered-Up-Weatheralls-Weekender/release/75279)
???

Wow! And now i do. Just listened to the link above.
If we're talking about the track before mighty ming and after SAS - Amber Groove (Toxic Hijack Mix) Then its Amber Trance from SAS which is on the same record.
when i last heard that Sasha mix i probably didn't have my copy of SAS.
Is that right?

I know Roy. Not brilliantly well but I'm 98% sure he never touched this track. Just weatherall and original. Roy wasn't the same crowd

I picked up SAS - Amber Groove (http://www.discogs.com/SAS-Amber-Groove/release/1641006) a while back, and it's track 4 on here. No mix name is given on the CD, but going on the track length, i would reckon it's the Respect To The Brook mix if you compare it with other releases.

We we're all the same crowd back in those days. The scene really was that small. Andy actually rented an office above my shop Quaff Records in Berwick St. I can't think of a DJ that didn't pass through those doors, the place was always buzzin.
I'll be honest I can't remember if I did for sure, have a faint recollection of doing something with Dan Donavon, which didn't get a release but Sasha would have got a white label if they we're about. Did so many remixes back then mainly with Judge Jules.
My involvement with Weekender was through knowing Wiz who directed the Weekended video and is still around. Also Lee who starred in in it and still hangs out in West London, an original raver along with Flowered Up.
I did the opening DJ intro for the video, will ask Dan if he's got a copy of any remixes when I get back to the UK in New Zealand right now..
hope this helps Roy the Roach
