View Full Version : track played on Radio 1 PSB show 1992 spanish guitar/breakbeat tune

hi all

I'm desperately trying to find an old track from 1992, that features a loop sample of a spanish guitar tune, on top of a breakbeat and synth pad/choir background. The bass then kicks in about half way through. Other than that, that's pretty much how the track goes.

It was played on Radio 1 1992, when pet shop boys stood in for Simon Bates, other tracks on the show were Felix, Rachel Wallace, Zero B, Age of Love, etc.

I actually spoke to the creator of the track on youtube about 5 years ago but since lost touch.

I've been digging my tapes & found another similar tune like a cross between this & Raśl Orellana Real Wild house, hope to get an id on that soon...

No, that's not the one but can see why you thought it might be.

The one I'm after had that speeded up James brown type loop with "you bxstard , eee , you bxstard eee" or something similar sounding chipmunk style

it's a very simple tune Guitar melody, drumloop, choir, synth bass

The producers of this track frmo 92 are from London by the way, they are UK guys.

Thanks for looking though :)

I will try and recreate the tune in FL studio, as it's only a very basic track anyway, hopefully someone will recognise it from my mp3

ok I have tried to recreate the tune in FL studio, from memory it's basically the same melody over and over. The loop is quite similar to the original song, and the plucked guitar/piano sound also - hopefully someone will get it :confused: :)

The track ur after is called 'Espania' from the Espania EP by The Good, 2 Bad & Hugly. (without a doubt)

Great tune, used to play it all the time!
