Not sure if this is a remix of The Conspiracy of One track that dropped in '89, or something completely different that lifted the same sample from Queen. This was spun a lot during the summer of '92. Here's the sample (3.1MB)

Yeah, I've been trying to track it down since I heard it in July 92 at a rave in Toronto. Dying to know what it is so I can find a good copy of it.

Just to clarify, the '89 track is the "Corporation Of One - The Real Life".

Your clip is certainly not the orig and it's not the recent Raven Maize re-hash either...damned if I know.

No one there seems to know what it is either. How can it be this elusive? A lot of people have heard it, but no one knows what it is! We all seem to agree is that it is not Corporation of One or Raven Maize.

I emailed a discog seller a clip and this is his reply...


our Leroy West record uses the same Queen sample and the same loop but the track is more minimalistic with percussion and some human beatbox (maybe George Kranz rommeltanz) vocal samples.
The driving synth bassline from your audio is missing.
I would say our record is more deep House / Hip House ... yours is more Club Tech House. It is surely an other version than the one you sent me.

Interesting in the timing of this thread being activated again:

BenBru messaged me two days ago saying he has the vinyl, but refused to give me the title unless I gave him 20 euro for the record. I passed saying I wouldn't spend money on something I didn't know what I was getting. He still refused to provide any information, yet he was so desperate from us to find out what it was.

Doh!! Already ID'd. :| I didnt see Page 2. Doh!!!

Just FYI, all I did to to ID this was search Discogs for: 1992 "real life" techno which led me to the above track name. There was a youtube clip attached so played it and voila! Only took me 5 minutes to ID.
A good tip for anyone when attempting to ID tunes that have vocal samples. Doesn't always work, especially if there's no YouTube clip, but does work a lot of the time. :)

@ DJ_Choonz: Thanks for the heads up regardless! Those keywords didn't come up with anything on discogs for the longest time because the release wasn't keyworded as completely as it could have been. Also, that youtube clip is only a day old. Our friend ComaProject upped it for us. :)
