Hi,
can anyone ID an old (early 90s?) house/garage track, prob US, with a honking sax riff and tough drums. As I remember it, the drums sounded like they could be M.A.W. or Todd Terry, and the rhythm of the sax riff was something like this:
1 2 3 4
1 2 3 4
Then the third bar is in triplets:
1
Xxx
2
Xxx
3 4
Then back to the first pattern:
1 2 3 4
(I don't know how that's going to come out but worth a try!)
I've definitely heard Gilles Peterson play it at some point but it's possible the same sample has been used on a few different tracks.
Thanks a lot to anyone who can help - I've no idea who else to ask!
cheers
Mark
