Hi mate,
Thanks for your help! I found 2 x 1992/93 tunes on discogs with the title " I wanna be your lover" & I though great, it must be one of them as the descriptions said they were house/garage...I managed to listen to them down the phone, but they're not correct???

I didn't know the lyrics were sampled from Prince although I did see his 1980 version listed..maybe there's a remix I missed..I'll keep looking..
