Can anybody help me out with this tune, I have no mp3 sample and the info I've got may make it a bit of a long shot...
Basically an I.D. for a tune played on Radio One (daytime) on Mark and Lard, Jo whiley shows etc...
Song contains quite a funky guitar riff at the beginning, contains rap lyrics that mention 'Lee Scratch Perry'. Guitar riff is used in the chorus's too.
the guitar riff sounds kind of 60's funky almost 'Austin Powers swinging 60's' era.
The lyrics I think say...
.... .... faster, Mr Lee Scratch Perry is the .... master???
Guy rapping sounds caucasian, not black, don't think this tune would have charted but was on the Radio One playlists at the time.
Its either very late 1990's or early 2000's, could be a commercial or underground rappy/hiphop type tune I really have no idea on this one.
As I said its a long shot, but maybe what I have said may jog someones memory :S
Many thanks
Mikey.
