Audio Tape to CD-Rom - Any advice?

Can anyone tell me the best way to get all my (slowly disintegrating) audio tapes onto CD via computer.

My chats so far have all ended nowhere. I probably need a tape deck, some sort of connectors, a computer (got one) & some software.

Once this is sorted out I will start getting my head around putting some tunes on here for id'ing.
