Fools Gold-what Mix Please ?

For the last 15 years I have been chasing a version of the Stone Roses 'Fools Gold'(probably a bootie) which is cut up by a 60s/70s tune(similar to the horn section in the most recent Joss Stone track).

It was busted by Judge Jules way back when he was on KISS(circa 1990)

Any ideas ? Any sorry I haven't got any audio...............:(

Geralds mix was later than 90 i think. could be whats it all about by run dmc? dont listen to joss stone though.

It's not the Guy called gerald mix guys..........Just confirmed this.
I'm not a Joss Stone fan either(it's got the same horn segment in it though).
I believe this is from an old reggae tune i'm not the same'.........?

This has just nailed a Dave Dorrel tracklisting (http://www.oldskoolanthemz.com/forum/showthread.php?p=282162) of mine. There is quite a long clip i made there.

According to HERE (http://www.busstop-records.co.uk/detail.php?cno=BS03) A Guy Called Gerald was behind it.

Does anyone know where the horn bit, also used by Joss Stone, is sampled from? I've always thought it very familiar, but never been able to put my finger on it. Also where is the Electro bit taken from?

I have acquired a stack load of tapes from a DJ friend of mine that's hung up hsi headphones.

He assures me the SHOOM was is original(not sure about quality)......
lot's more old rampling on kiss aswelll(1987-89)/paul troble anderson and he has ALL the old sunrise videos which i need to go through and record the audio.

I have got a busy night ahead of me.....
