Who can help me with this track, please?
I first heard this tune back in 1990/1 and was featured on Dance Energy. The clip I saw featured a guy rapping at a pace of about 92bpm with two stunning-looking backing/chorus vocalists. The track was a very good soulful melodic tune with one or two noticeable De La Soul-type breaks.
If I remeber correctly, the track is about a guy wanting to take a lady out on a date but she refuses and he just tells his story and how bitter/angry he was.
Anyway, the chorus goes:
And He can start grooving now, becasue people are trying to get together (Repeat x4)
Groovy
I've actually got a 12" track by Cool 2 - Kinda Groovy (City Sounds Records) which has excerpts of the above-mentioned chorus.
Who is the artist and what is the track?
Help me, please!!!
