Gabber track: It's a Tough Beat But Someone's Gotta Do it

Hi everyone,

I remember a great gabber track from around 1993 or 1994 that had some old crime show / movie sample of a guy saying, "It's a tough beat but someone's gotta do it."

I was wondering if anyone knows what track that was?

Maybe it is the Nightraver - So

Thanks for trying mate. I checked out Nightraver and his track has a clean female vocal that says it. The track I am after has an American detective-style voice with some jazzy tone behind the sample, as if it was lifted straight from a film's dialogue.

There's a track like that on Thunderdome V ( http://www.discogs.com/release/95754 ) but i don't know which one is it because i heard the track on the Thunderdome V megamix ;) maybe soulseek it and see which is it

well i ended up soulseeking it myself and :D that track is DJ Dano - I'm Gonna Get You
could be the one you looking for although it seems to only use the sample a couple times in the end...

there's also DJ Devon - Tough Beat, Hard Compound #1.

However...that was more toward the end of 95.

If it was defo earlier, then it's the Dano tune I reckon.
