I just heared on one of the HazyDayz sets a diff version/into of this to my copy...

It is the into - there is a stab going "DAH" (first bit of the main hook) - this stab is repaeated getting faster and faster until the tune kicks in.

Now........

Is this a version on vinyl or was it done by the DJ on the night using a fancy, show off sampling mixer type thing...!

If I make no sense I can up a snippet.

Thats John Kelly. Its the Night House Mix you want. It has that stab at the start, but the rest is deck/mixer (DJM 600) trickery I'm afraid...

:rolleyes:Just done it. Recorded the vocal stab at the start into the DJM sampler, then switched it onto "loop" and just gradually sped up the sample with that knob that says "parameter 1 TIME" next to it...:thumbsup: phones:

Lol - then played the rest of the tune, cause its ace...:thumbsup:

Very clever.

And heres me thinking he did that off the cuff without samplers etc

Sounded absolutely smart when he did it tho :thumbsup:

Doh - I was there that night - but I missed most of JK'S marathon set as upstairs was absolutly rocking - All due to the man like Jonno :thumbsup:
