Hi guys

I'm after a tune that I have on a tape

I'll try explain how it goes...dont laugh!

ok its like a bouncy electro sound sort of...dum..dum.. dum.. di. di dum.. dum... di dum dum dum then a lyric "C'mon C'mon"

It repeats like this and sort of builds up getting faster...

Sorry thats the best I can do

Anyone got any ideas at all??

I like this - everyone has a different tune from the description.

I'd definitely go for D-Shake - Techno Trance.

nope its none of those

I think my description is poor tho

I think it was a big choon from around 93 ish, maybe 94 or 95 even

Any other ideas?

It's a really uplifting choon as well

hypnoSiS

its more a technoey tune

Only lyrics are "C'mon C'mon"

Its like a bouncy electro tune...and builds up and gets more uplifting

If you have sound card and the appropriate wires, you can play the tape into the line in on the soundcard, you then need to use some software to make a sound file (eg MP3, real player)say about 30 secs long of the tune, you then need to host the file on some webspace and provide us with the link

nope not that either :S

it was a really big tune im sure - someone must know it!

have it on a tape from around 1994 by Triple x (not the scottish dude - a DJ from Halifax)

sort of goes....electro synth making sound

bom bom bom da da bom...bom bom bom bi bum bum (like a bouncy sound )...this repeats....then at one point it goes... der der der der di der der.. gets faster to a crescendo...with vocal going "C'mon C'mon" intermittently

god i wish i could play it...i have it on tape and i heard it loads of times around 1994

Is it 'Itchy & Scratchy - C'mon' (Spot on Records) circa '94. That has a 'Dum dum', kind of sound.
Does it have a sample saying 'Insane' ???

hehe still never got this one Id'd, one year on :'(

I'm trying desperatley to get a sample uploaded once I work out how it's done

The description I gave earlier is the best I can do for now

I remember hearing it a lot in pubs and clubs around 1994/95 and it was on many tapes at the time. I'm sure it was a massive choon at the time

If I ever get this ID'd I'd be the happiest man alive lol

Thx for all who have tried so far :)

your description sounds exactly like dj hmc - cum on........ive put a sample up...hope this is the one......also....if not.....is the come on bit you describe the same as in this track as i have a few tracks with this sample in it from 92ish-94:eyebrow:

pluto

i forgot to add that this came out in 1995.....dirty house records(detroit)......here's more of the sample..........

hypnoSiS
24th August 2003, 04:20 PM
Thx Grover but i think thats not the tune for sure

The come on bit sounds similar but I'm sure it's more a female voice saying it in the tune im after.

The tune sort of goes like this....

pom, pom, pom pa pa pom,..... pom pom pom pi pum pum (gets lower in tone - like a bouncy synth sound) (c'mon, c'mon)

pom pom pom pi pum pum (repeats like this for a bit) then it

goes, der der der der...der der der..(quick)

do do do do do, do do do.... do do (quicker)

thats the best I can do lol

I'm sure if this ever gets ID'd u will be all kicking yourselves cos it was a massive choon im sure around 94/95

Thx for the help so far...

;)

another thought is if anyone has a headset i could sing it to u , lol im sure u would ID it then :p

hehe found this thread on a search. Couldn't help but update it and say after all this time I got an ID!!!!!

The tune in question was "D-Tek - Drop the Rock". ;) ;) ;)

Probably my poor description that foxed ya I guess. It was a big tune tho wasnt it?

I got it ID'd from playing Grand Theft Auto San Andreas on the playstation. There's a song on one of the radio stations called "Fallout - Morning After", soon as I heard that it has the same tune, I guess D-Tek sampled it. So I posted here and it was ID'd pretty quickly.
