208 is Final Word - Dance to the music.

There's a few familiar ones there so you should get some names for them.

ah, get in there! i've been after number 8 for years but haven't had a sample to post, and have got no-where in the past trying to describe it.

it says 'this is - stig' rather than 'this is - steve' btw, i saw a copy in use in 1990 and it was just a white label with 'stig' written on it on marker pen.

hope someone can nail this!

:)

Neil, you need the plugin for .ogg for winamp, if you install version 5.0 it's already in that.

Otherwise, bit of googling for an .ogg plug in :S

I've got Synthesis but I can't listen to the sample right now. Saying that, I didn't recognise it this morning when I listened to them all.

oh well, i'm intrigued by what the synthesis track sounds like anyway, so i'm not too bothered if it's the wrong tune.

didn't have any choice but to buy them really, i've made the mistake of posting an id possibility before when there's only been a couple on gemm, and the next thing u know they've all disappeared - regardless of what they were, lol.

I think I spoke to soon, I have speakers again and have had another listen and it seems very familiar so I doubt you've wasted your money Skippy.

Makes me wonder how many tunes remain unknown when they shouldn't.

sounds good, here's hoping!

now let's see, i ordered one copy from birmingham record agency, and the other is coming from malaysia! i wonder which will get here first - or if any will get here at all... (touch wood!)

and yeah, there's a lot more classics to still be re-discovered imo. i keep surprising myself with long forgotten beasts from me own collection, never mind all the wonderful new oldskool tuneage that i've gained due to this site! it just keeps on coming...

Well Guys , what can I say......U keep on amazing us by your knowledge . I knew that U were going to nail some of them, but couldn't imagine it would be so fast !!! All those tracks have been played between 90-91 on Radio MAXXIMUM, a Paris based radio station where Laurent GARNIER had his first ever radio residency.
As you probably noticed, most french people posting here often referred to GARNIER & this, mythical radio (for them anyway)....And with still have plenty of IDs !!! Many many thanXX !!! (Hope someone will nail the others ;) )

wahay! :D

that synthesis record is the right tune! what a good guesser i am, lol, does anyone else need any tune i.d.'s guessed?? i was only basing it on the 'thank you' sample at the end of the clip, i did a search on gemm and pulled up all the possibilities, and when i saw the synthesis tune i knew it was highly likely to be right as the synthe presets on the tune sounded sooo similar to other synthesis tracks...

i'm well chuffed with that, i never thought i'd track it down - isp1029 - good old feroldi again!

also, i'm well impressed with that service from b.r.a. records i have to say. the tune went in the post the same afternoon i ordered it, and turned up this morning in very good condition at a good price - it doesn't get much better than that - nice one guys!
