Don't know if you know this already but it's sampled off an old Janis Joplin tune - hence JJ Tribute. Haven't the foggyist what she's shouting about though.

aren't they something on the lines of :-
Just because I've got to want your love,
wherever in the world,
Dancin' dancin in a chain...
dancin, dancin' want your love.
bollox, can't remember the rest....

there was a house bootleg called tribute to jj in 1993 where more of the speech is used - Asha just choped up the vocals. I used to know which song its all taken from but forgotten it again..

While we are talking about one of my fave tunes i am sure u peeps could answer something that has bugged me for years about this tune.
Was the origanal JJ Tribute by Asha released around '89 and a lot slower than the version everyone knows.
I remember it had a saxaphone / trombone running through it or something.
It sounded a lot different to the version that got hammered around '91.
Hope u can help and relax my state of mind.
thanx

The trombone version was more than likely the Joe T Vannelli remix. Also on the Italian Beat Club label, it was released more or less at the same time as the original - late 1990.

Thanks for clearing that up.
I have been wondering about that for 12 years.

Yeah, ive always loved the JT mixes. Theres one mix (I think its track 3 on the bside) which has some luuurvly piano and sax combinations. I dont thing there was a bad mix of this until that charty rerelease like Corona's Joy and Joyce rehash. The 'space mix' is awesome too innit! :).
Sirius.
Ps. I always thought it was "Dancin' in a chain" too................
