hi peeps,

just got a white label of orange lemon - dreams of santa anna on fuse 1 which i was told was the 89 original. which has 3 other decent tunes, one is dione - come get my loving but theres still 2 i need id'ing.

1) one has the lyric: can "you feel it!... ohoh yeah... check this out " chanted all the way through it which i feel i should know but don't.

2) the second has someone saying: "to understand this you have to go back to what your brother here refered to as the house negro and the field negro" and has a kind of chant going through is saying repeatedly:

just as long as i've got ***** i've gota ******

the record seems a bit suspect to me as it has 4 decent tunes presumably by different artists all on the same piece of vinyl. it's also in abolutely brand new mint condition like it was pressed yesterday.

any help would be appreciated and if you can fill in the blanks to the lyrics above, bonus.

cheers

cheers all

lol @ skippy, i thought that ellis dee & frankie bones sounded like a bit of an odd collaberation, just as well i didn't get me BIG felt tip pen out and write all over it.

so to recap i think we have:

1) richie rich & jungle brothers - i'll house you
2) frankie bones & lenny dee - just as long as ive got you
(not his brother ellis dee)
which came out on: looney tunes vol1??.. maybe..?

i think i'll leave me felt pens in the draw and just take a mental note, seems ashame to spoil that lovely whiteness anyway.

tanks mike m8,

that has certainly, indisputably cleared that up and cheers for the top tip for marking up white labels.
